Jana Kramer became famous on television, where she played Alex in the One Tree Hill series' last three seasons. The show showcased her first releases as country music, propelling her 2012 debut album to the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One, her follow-up album released in 2015, made it to into the Top Ten. The singer ended the decade by appearing on Dancing with the Stars and on several television shows, as well as a series of non-album singles. In 2021, the album The Doubting Voices was released. Jana Rae Kramer is a Michigan native that was raised by country music. While she was pursuing the acting and recording professions however, her screen debut took place in the independent horror film Dead/Undead (2002) when she was still at high school. Alongside her Top Five country hit I Got the Boy and the duet she did together with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it fared even better reaching number three on the country album chart, and tenth on the Billboard 200. Beginning in September 2016 her two-month stint on the 23rd series of Dancing with the Stars ended with her finishing fourth. The same year, Feels Like Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser became hugely popular among adults.
